Hey guys, i just got gimp and i'm figuring it all out but i can not get a big picture to scale down to a 128x128 image without the image pixelating on me, does anyone know the trick to shrinking the pic and not losing the quality?????

Gimpshop or Gimp? If you haave either, just switch to photoshop, more people use it. In photoshop, you go to image> Canvas size (or image size) Or maybe, im not sure if its the same with photoshop cs3 extended, but there may be a free transform thingy somewhere, Although i don't know where...... Thants what ive got

Well, look at my avatar, i resized it from a large screenshot using gimp. keep the format in good quality, it should be ok, but if there is a Huge difference of resizing, the quality will be difficult to retain. Maybe sharpen the image slightly before / after sizing?
