Running a tool before playing.

Alright, I need some assistance. I would like to write a batch file that launches David Rufie's Widescreen Fixer tool, then launches the game afterwards. Very simple request. The name of the tool is WideScreenFixer.exe and I'm going to be placing it in the Electronic Arts folder. c:/program files/electronic arts/wsfix obviously my 2142 directory is c:/program files/electronic arts/battlefield 2142 any help would be highly appreciated. Extra kudos if it's possible for the batch file to close the WSF tool after I'm done playing 2142.

Here's an easier and better fix to get your game to run in widescreen.

Right click your BF2142 shortcut > Properties

    In the "Target" field, add
    +szx 1680 +szy 1050
or whatever your resolution is. Make sure to leave a space between that and whatever the last stuff in the field is.

Yes, that's the way to get widescreen, but this tool gives you the correct FoV and makes the game feel/look so much better.

I refuse to play it without it.

I tried this and had no luck...

    echo Starting WidescreenFixer
    START c:\program files\electronic arts\wsfix\widescreenfixer.exe
    echo Starting Battlefield 2142
    START c:\Program Files\Electronic Arts\Battlefield 2142\BF2142.exe +eaAccountName MYACCOUNT +eaAccountPassword MYPASS +soldierName MYSOLDIER +menu 1 +widescreen 1 +szx 1680 +szy 1050
    EXIT

Wouldn't it be something like this:

    echo Starting WidescreenFixer
    cd c:/program files/electronic arts/wsfix
    start WideScreenFixer.exe
    echo Starting Battlefield 2142
    cd c:/program files/electronic arts/battlefield 2142
    START BF2142.exe +eaAccountName MYACCOUNT +eaAccountPassword MYPASS +soldierName MYSOLDIER +menu 1 +widescreen 1 +szx 1680 +szy 1050
    EXIT

Awesome, it did start the WSF.exe, and then BF2142. I think the parameters worked as well, I don't know cause I copied and pasted from this.

    You sir, are the shit.
