Here is a spray I made with paint.net. I got the idea from a poster used in the movie 28 days later. If you do a side by side comparison you'll see that this is not a "cut and paste job" and that I did make the spray. It not fancy, it's not flashy, it's not supposed be... I just thought the poster looked really cool so I did my best to replicate it. Obviously I had to change a couple minor elements from the original poster, like making the phone numbers look like something we use in the US as opposed to the UK. And before you dog on the "Helpline" number, just know that it does spell something out... Simply extract the file to any location on your PC, load up L4D, go to options/multiplayer, click import image, navigate to the location where you extracted the file to, select said file and click OK. Enjoy, or don't. Either way I was proud of my 11 minute survival time until my buddies survived for 19:03 minutes and rubbed it in my face like I had just peed on the carpet...

And if you did take it straight from a movie, than congratulations haha, but unfortunately, that would only lower my score for originality, but I'm not that kind of prick.

Well I appreciate you not being a prick lol.

It's a good spray, but it just needs a bit more work. Try using The Gimp. Great free paint program. Like a reduced version of PS.

Thanks for the info. I'll check it out. I started working on adding some blood effect so we'll see what happens next!

You should have tried to make it look either more like a metal sign, with screws in the corners, that was bolted onto the surface, or make it look like a torn old poster.

I got this idea straight from what was in the movie. I would love to add some effects but I'm only using Paint.net and I'm not to savvy with visual design by any means.

Word of advice: When you submit something to the Banana, unless your 100% sure that it will receive a unanimously positive reception, go with the fewest amount of criteria possible. You would have gotten a higher score had you done so.

Even though I'm told that I have to select at least 3 default criteria, it won't allow me to select less than 5. This was "100%" out of my control.

Oh, and double check your spelling before you submit, haha, but it's good to see that you've already changed the "u" for an "a".

    Read my response to Fuzz.

I appreciate your detailed assessment/review and the time you took to write it.
Ahh, well that's a shame on the Criteria front. FPSB has been really buggy and screwy lately (hint hint Tom...).

You should have tried to make it look either more like a metal sign, with screws in the corners, that was bolted onto the surface, or make it look like a torn old poster. Because a war happened basically, there will be some tearing, some smudges, dirt and grime, maybe some blood (not much). Rip some corners, tear some edges, maybe even make a few holes in the body of the poster.

Hell, what would sell this thing for me, would be a bloody handprint sliding down. You know, that symbol that you see in every single zombie related movie or game. Like this. But not an overdone super obvious and terrible looking one, that would ruin it, there needs to be a balance.

Just some basic ideas. At the moment, it's pretty good, but just looks to clean. Even the metal sign would be damaged. It needs to be a little rougher, more post-apocalyptic looking. You wouldn't put a highly detailed, lighted and textured skin in TF2, why would you do the opposite here? '

It's not that creative imo, as you see one in every game, movie, or piece of zombie related paraphernalia. But it still deserves some credit because you did show some originality in doing this sign. But again, that falls into the whole "everything else has a sign like this" category.

As for style, it's a great color setup, with a black backround and white text to grab your attention to the main message, and red words to highlight important information.

And the realism falls under the large block at the top of my assessment.

First thing I saw when I looked at your poster was "virul" and sound/noise(same thing)

    |:P

For sprays like these things, you should really make sure you have all the grammar down.

Virul is not the correct spelling in the English dictionary. This may be how the UK spells it. Just as how the US spells the word "Hemorrhaging" differently than the UK, which is spelled "Haemorrhaging". I used the spelling to match the English dictionary on the US side. The primary picture is the actual poster from the movie and is not my spray.

Secondly, Noise is a type of sound. One does not describe every sound as "noise". Gunshots, shouting and banging could be considered noise as where running, driving and talking could be considered sound.

A government notice would at least have gone through an editor first, haha.

Pros: It actually looks like a real poster and you did a great job replicating it from the original. I think this is the best you can probably get from using Paint.net.

Cons: Well, the render should be the actual spray, not a picture of what it's based on, so I suggest you change the render. The very last part of the text is hard to read, the bottom column.

Improvements: Change the font size on the bottom column and try to change the text color or size to make it clearer and easier to read. I also suggest you add some scratches or burns to make it look like its been through hell.

Notes: Nice spray, keep up the good work. It looks really realistic and matches the theme of Left 4 Dead.

Pros: Funnny, Original, and looks like something the government would actually issue out. I've never seen a sign like this, so 10 for originality :3
Cons: Not much detail. White boxes, dark red boxes, black outline. I with there were more scratches, burns, and pieces missing. Like it's been through a lot.
    Improvements: See cons.
    Notes: There is NO CURE.
