No more bagpipes. Finally.

I got tired of hearing the bagpipes outside Hammerlocke. Real tired.
Like, hear that damn song in my sleep now kind of tired.

It's almost as earwormy as Toss a Coin to Your Witcher.

In any case, this will swap it out for My Quiet Forest Home from The Eightfold Road: Metal Arrangements.

I've tried to automate the process as much as I can to replace the actual files, but there is still a bit of manual work on your end.

Not a lot I can do about it. On the bright side, at least this will prep you if you want to swap any other songs so there's that at least.

Not about to distribute a 650+MB file, never mind it being pulled from the game files. That's some bad juju there.

In any case, here's how you go about making the swap:
  • Extract no_more_bagpipes.7z somewhere. There should be four files in that folder:
  • Follow steps 1 - 6 on THIS guide on how to dump your game files.
  • Go into the bin\sound\NX64\wwise\bank folder and find Stream.pck
  • Copy Stream.pck into the same directory as Stream_No_More_Bagpipes.vcdiff
  • Run either Stream_patch_Sword.bat or Stream_patch_Shield.bat depending on which version of the game you have.
  • A folder named "atmosphere" will be created that has a bunch of folders inside of it. The script will copy the patched version of Stream.pck where into the correct folder structure.
  • When you see the message "Copy the atmosphere folder to the root of your SD card." do so and you'll be done.
  • No more bagpipes.
(I don't have a copy of Shield to test this on, but it should work. No promises though.)

A little question, what do the bat files do? I've been looking into the pck file and I've got a small list of what ID is what sound/music so I could simply replace it aslong as I have a mp3/wem file and an ID that I need to replace(although there are multiple copies of this song spread throughout the entire pck file).

I know how to read batch scripts but I'm currently on my phone so I can't check it :P
