This is my Personal Re voice Pack For The Security guards in Black mesa. I know that Michael Shapiro is legendary and im not trying to replace him im more just doing this both for fun and too see if i can do it Properly.
I like doing voice acting so i thought why not try it out on Half-life.
Its was pretty easily done since the way Half-Life works makes it very easy to just swap in and swap out sound files once you try it out youl see the Lip sync works also i dont know why but with a certain Export Method Unassigned 8 bit PCM The Game will enable the sound files to work with Lip sync quite interesting and handy for my project.
my old mic broke down so im going to have to redo this...Dont worry i loved it the first time so i wont have that much of a problem to do it again but this is kind of a set back....but hey maybe i can try something new????
You are not getting a 10 just because of poor recording equipment that you used. Recording quality is terrible, it sounds like you're speaking in another room. On top of that, why compress it to 128kbps?
Try investing in a large diaphragm condenser microphone. Rode NT1 as an example, and others like Audio Technica and AKG should work well too. Shure SM58 is a dynamic microphone but it also works really well.
You can send me your future recordings for post-processing if you wish, equalization does miracles. Otherwise, great acting and really creative of you! :)
Hey hey hey, not that bad. Some lines could be smoother, maybe some more pre-practice if you're considering going serious with this, but not bad overall, a solid 7 across the board, from me (a "good" rating). Also, about the installation instructions, you should really install it to the game's "_addon" folder, the dedicated folder for mods. Overwriting the main game folder can cause problems with servers and such, last I remember.
For this mod's case, and for Half-Life, it should be:
