oh yes, the procedure is quite simple, really. The real issue lies in whether or not the map can be replaced without any issues. HL2 and Episode 1 have this issue where they're patched at runtime with "lump files" and if you replace the map, the lump files will break and appear as stuff like floating trigger brushes and stuff.
