Removing Characters From Class Selection

A Request for Team Fortress 2

So beard flexes work properly during gameplay as long as you use the number keys to select the class you want to play on the class selection screen. This is because the class selection screen uses models with more basic facial animation, same as the loadout screen. Hovering over the class icon to show a preview of your loadout loads the models for gameplay to be the ones with the basic facial animation. Valve has never fixed this. Is anyone aware of a mod I could use to have the higher quality facial animation and beard flexes work during the gameplay via removing the characters from the loadout screen or forcing the game to always load the highest quality character models?
I know some HUDs remove the previews from the class selection, but I quite like my current HUD, which does show the previews. And before someone comments it: yes, I do know the Higher quality animations and beard flexes impact performance. My computer can handle it, and I really don't care much for having the fastest game possible. I'm more for the aesthetics, and I like my game to look pretty. If anyone knows a way to resolve this, I'd really appreciate it.

What are you saying, exactly? The class selection screen uses "player\[class].mdl" as the character models, and the in-game gameplay uses "player\[class].mdl" as the character models.

They're the same models, and the models themselves (both the characters and their cosmetics) are separate entities from the in-game gameplay's player/cosmetic entities, with nothing shared between them, meaning that there's effectively nothing where the class selection screen can impact the rest of the game.

(If you're talking about the "player\hwm\[class].mdl" character models which are supposed to be usable through console variables, then one, the class selection (probably?) can't manipulate that outside of the class selection screen, and two, beards and such might not synchronize with the characters' facial expressions too well in any case, due to slightly different facial expressions on the characters. Also, three, I'd assume that the class models are loaded in the class selection screen, regardless of whether or not the active heads-up display (HUD) actually displays the models, though I could be wrong.)

Is anyone aware of - forcing the game to always load the highest quality character models? Depending on what you mean, yes. Simply open the console, type "R_LOD 0", and press Enter to execute that. Team Fortress 2 will now always use the highest level of detail for models, no longer swapping them out for lesser levels of details when the models get too small on the screen (which will happen if "R_LOD" isn't 0, regardless of whether it's above or below 0).
