Killstreak sheens not appearing on custom weapons

I've been using this mod lately https://gamebanana.com/skins/179647, and I noticed my killstreak sheen does not appear on the DC-15A weapon skin that replaces the Cleaner's Carbine. I thought this would apply to all custom weapon skins but I noticed they still worked on other skins I had downloaded. So my question is, what gives? Why do some weapon sheens work with skins and others don't, and what can I do to fix it?

After comparing the vmt files of the mod to other custom weapon skins that do work with ks sheens, I found that adding/replacing a section of the vmt with the following changes  (as shown in the image) makes killstreak sheens appear.Mystery solved, I think.
