Why are my downloads slow? - A Question for GameBanana

Question Answered but Unsolved

This Question has been answered but no solution has been chosen. You can still post your own answer to help the submitter.
Is it just my pc or are game banana downloads slow? I was downloading two mods and as of writing this they're still downloading, but I downloaded a 1 GB file in the middle of downloading the mods, and it finished not even a minute after it started.
  • I don't really know personally.
It does seem like the speed depends on your Wi-Fi, but I've downloaded some mods before and stuff off of MediaFire or something and it's downloaded a bit faster, but that just might depend.

Are you on wifi or wired connection?

A wired connection icon in Windows should look like the icon on the LEFT, while wireless, icon on the RIGHT:

For the best connection, it's best to use a wired connection to your computer. Wireless is bad all around, despite the convenience.

    1. Wired provides the best latency, down to 5ms in gaming.
    2. Wired provides you the best gaming advantage over other players if they are using wireless.
    3. Wired has little to no interference.
    4. Wired provides life changing web experience.
    5. Still effective at >50 metres (165 ft, based on Cat5e, it's best until 100m)
    6. Can saturate your ISP selected broadband speeds
Here are why wireless are bad for you:

    1. Natural radio wave interference.
    2. Other wireless wave interference.
    3. Multiple signal blockers.
    4. Multiple surface to bounce off.
    5. Puts you at a worst gaming advantage.
    6. Provides worst web experience.
    7. Slow download/streaming speeds.
    8. Slow upload/upstreaming speeds.
    9. Inconsistent latency, between 500ms to 5000ms.
    10. Best case is 1 metre from router (or 3.2 ft)
    11. Rarely saturate your ISP selected broadband speeds
