Do i really need to dump the game?

hey, i wanted to install the second wind mod on my switch but i didnt notice that botw mods are really different from totk mods, i saw that i need to dump the whole thing and then inject the bnp file, but i have not enough storage available, do i really need to dump it? isnt there any other way? where can i find the second wind bnp already converted to a romfs folder?

yes,both botw mods and totk mods require to be properly merged with each other. both games have mod merger/loaders and both games require a dump of the game for these mod mergers to work. this is because they compare the modified files to the vanilla files to determine what has changed, this way they can combine mods together.the reason this is required is because many mods edit the same files, only different parts of these files.many mod authors post the files made specifically for the mod mergers as the file sizes are much smaller as it only contains logs of the changes required to make the mod.most botw mods are packaged specifically for the mod mergers, totk modding is rather newer and the mod merger's packager format is not finalized, so most authors of totk mods have not posted the merger specific formats yet.
