Why is this mod not working and how do I fix it?

Question

I don't know why, but for some reason, the Trans-Sonic mod doesn't want to work for me, when I put it in manually it says that it's missing something and then it asks if I wanna fix it, but when I click on 1-Click Install instead, but when it's about to be done downloading it keeps saying  "Details: Illegal characters in path." and I don't know what to do to get it to work, can someone help, please?

I had the same issue, use HMM 8, not 7.  https://github.com/hedge-dev/HedgeModManager/releases/latestUninstall the mod loader from 7 and install the mod loader from 8, don't put 8 in the same folder as the game, it's not like 7. Thank me later.

just install the mod manually if the HMM installation is not working is not that hardjust download the zip or rar and put this folder that inside it in the mods folder its in the games folder

if you're on linux I've heard that you need to replace the \ by / in the INI
