Chance at this game supporting skin mods

Question

Curious if it's even possible for this game to be modded, to skin the characters, NPCs, enemies, etc. Or is there something with the game engine or launcher or whatever, that is preventing this? Thanks.

I think even if when modding becomes possible, it will be unpopular to say the least. With literally thousands of clothing parts, it will be a nightmare to pick which one to start with that covers the most players. Most i see is that we get a nude mod for the undergarments(unequipped) and maybe some alteration to the starting set of clothings. Furthermore, it would require Infinity Nikki to be at least as popular as HSR/ZZZ/WuWa to get modders interested to begin with.I really hope i am wrong with all of these and the game picks up in popularity with lot of mod creators picking this game up to cover some of the most popular clothing pieces.

You know, I'd be happy with mods that enabled the alt-color version of limited-time outfits. Such mods would have to be per-outfit and have three(?) variations to pick which of the alternate colors you want in place of the base color. I'm FtP, there is no way I am going to get even a single alternate version of the outfit. But one would have to be careful about photos and streaming, if the outfit you appeared to have didn't match what your account could have.
