Question Answered but Unsolved

This Question has been answered but no solution has been chosen. You can still post your own answer to help the submitter.
I've made some decals with these parameters in vmt files:
"DecalModulate"
{
"$translucent" 1
"$basetexture" "Decals/Blood1"
"$decal" 1
"$decalscale" 0.25
}
screenshot with issue
And by the way all decals have 512x512 resolution...

    Few potential causes.

    1. Your alpha channel isn't properly edged, leading to the hard cuts like that
    2. Using $translucent could cause it; try $alphatest instead.
    3. Might be the compression format of the VTF. If that's DXT5, try using RGBA8888 instead.
