Because they have a message board and probably most the low effort mods is in gb in their opinion

There might probably be several reasons:1-Most or all banned members go to any other alternative modding community, being GB one of the main candidates because how big it is by itself, let alone Srb2 too, at least compared to other alternative non official sites for srb2 modding.2-They want to have no competition for the official forums for Srb2 modding site, aka the MB.3- GameBanana, unlike other modding sites for Srb2 stuff, like both the WS and MB, allow for any kind of mod, with a weak, or nonexistant moderation, as long as it follows 3 basic rules:*It has to be related to Srb2*Must been created by you, or if not, ask for permission first and have real evidence of that.*It must be finished enough so it can at least load without crash.All of that, allow for more freedom on what you want to post, leaving only the really bad shit to be moderated, and "really bad", meaning stuff that not even the most +18 site would even allow that, like purposedly offensive mods, and other stuff.

hi, i've been a member of the MB and official srb2 communities for about a decade now, so i think i can probably shed some light on this (despite being late)!as far as i've seen, the "mainstream" community doesn't hate the gamebanana page - in fact, last i checked the two of them work together. the only reason i can rlly think of that people from the mainstream srb2 community might not like the place is that low quality mods (like recolors and the like) tend to end up here.sites outside the mb (like gamebanana or the skybase or whatever) aren't competition, they're just different parts of the community.that's just how i see things, though - i can't speak for everyone. i personally like the gb page a lot for being a bit more lax than the mb while still not allowing its users to outright steal content (unlike a certain web site lol)
