How do you create a UI.sarc?

This Question was answered and a solution was chosen.
So I'm trying to make a texture hack for my friend. I got the texture itself done, and now I'm trying to create the icons. I tried taking Baby Luigi's UI.sarc and using that. I got the icons exported with EFE, saved the bclims as png using EFE's save as button, edited them with paint.net, then converted them back to bclim using png2bclim. From there I opened Baby Luigi's UI.sarc with EFE, deleted the contents and replaced them with my icons. I named them what the file was named without the extension, otherwise it would not generate the code. I also included the thank you scene animation. I saved the UI, put it in the characters folder, selected the texture from the character manager aaaaaaaaaaaaaannnnnnnddd...

 It didn't work. Can someone tell me what I did wrong?

    MyStuff UI.sarc files work the following way: They replace files inside another .szs files the game loads, so the mod needs to know which szs it came from. So for example, if the file comes from UI/menu.szs, and is named mario_select.bclim, you need to name the file inside UI.sarc as UI/menu.szs/mario_select.bclim. (This will transform into an ID after renamed, but it doesn't matter.)

    So my recommendation is, dump the UI folder from your cartridge using something like godmode9. Do all the neccessary modifications to the szs files inside and place them in CTGP-7/gamefs/UI. Once you confirmed everything works, put the files in the MyStuff UI.sarc and delete the ones in gamefs (if they are kept in gamefs, they may be deleted after an update).
