Request: Tutorial Modding ACNH

A Question for Animal Crossing: New Horizons

Question Solved

This Question was answered and a solution was chosen.
Hi there! I'm super new from here and I have the .zs files but I don't know how to go more far than this step. Someone can do any short (or long) tutorial to modding Animal Crossing New Horizons? I know that making a tutorial is a hard job, sorry for the request and thanks for the answers!

Just a quick overview as i don't have the time right now to do a full tutorial, but maybe this helps:

I would suggest you to have a look at and load your extracted romfs folder there. It allows you to view most of the files in more detail (and some can even be edited by this tool). For the files which can not be directly edited by the tool it might be a good idea to get an overview with the toolbox and then use a hex editor like HxD to modify the hex code manually.

For editing stuff like strings and text villagers say (e.g. in the Message folder) you can use a tool like Kuriimu, it gives a decent overview.

As for editing event flow files (.evfl in EventFlow folder) you can use but might need to set the pythonoptimize environment variable to true to make some files work.

Finally if you want to dive a bit deeper into the file structure, is a decent starting point to learn some new stuff (and for example get a structured overview of the bcsv files).

    Hope this helps some people!
