Converting edited models for a mod? + More

A Question for Sonic Adventure DX (2004)

I planned on editing Gamma's model for a mod I'm making that will replace him with E-101 Beta. It's a relatively simple edit, only the gun, hand, and textures need to be changed. The SATools pack was simple to use and I found a good tutorial for it. Everything went fine with splitting, creating a project, etc. However, I wasn't able to find out how to convert the edited model back to a format that the game would read and overwrite the normal models with (I'm assuming .dll). But editing textures was a breeze. Also, I don't know how to freely control the camera in SAMDL other than pushing down the mouse scroll button to change the angle of the camera and a few other controls, but perhaps there isn't a way. One other thing, will I have to do anything besides replace the gun model and other arm with Beta's guns and put it in the right position, considering the animations/rigs should work the same (aside from the upgrade, which I'll deal with later)? Sorry if this sounds stupid or obvious. Thank you in advance for a response.

If you open the project manager, you can use the auto-build tool to generate an INI file and other files to place into your mod's folder, then add the line CHRMODELSData=CHRMODELS_data.ini (or whatever the INI file it generated gets named) to mod.ini and the mod loader will replace the models for you. You can also do a manual build and generate C++ code to compile into a DLL if you want more control.
Camera movement should be activated by holding the middle mouse button and dragging, with Ctrl switching to zoom mode and Alt switching to look mode. You can view and edit these bindings in the preferences dialog.
