CPU with a character mod that doesn't move

Question

In my case, it’s specifically the modded characters—those with their own dedicated or new slots—that refuse to move at all. I tried changing the CPU settings for those modded characters from "default" to other options; they started moving, but they won't execute any special moves—they just resort to basic punching. Can anyone help me resolve this issue? I’m using mods by nyoh972 because, in my experience, character mods from other creators tend to crash the emulator. By the way, I’m playing the game on emulators like GameHub and Winlator.

Are you on the latest version of the mod loader?

Not only does the mod loader need to be the latest version, the game itself also has to be updated. I was running an older game version before, which caused some mods to fail to load and kept crashing the game—this happened even with the newest mod loader installed. I only found out later that the game version needed an update.
