Shading/Shadow on Skin

Question

Does anyone know what is causing this shadow/shading issue on skin. Some skins have this issue and I want to fix them while using them.

It involves rendering parts that would normally be placed on clothing directly onto the skin, which produces an effect that more closely matches the original version. I really hope this method can be adopted more widely, because many mods currently suffer from torso lighting and shading issues. There is also a reference tutorial here: https://www.caimogu.cc/post/2329514.html（I used a translation tool, so it might not be accurate.）
