Question Solved

This Question was answered and a solution was chosen.

"If I can't go through the wall.... Can I go around it?"

This is more or less a follow up to my last question here. I was able to reason out that the reason why it's so hard to edit Amy's lines for certain actions (Mantling, Jumping, and a handful of her other effects) is due to the game recalling other lines from cutscenes and battle mode to either save space, or as a failsafe to make the game not crash when Amy does moves like the spindash or Light Speed Attack. This opened my eyes a bit on how Amy was coded into the game, but that leaves me with a new question:

Is it possible, or rather feasible to create new code lines or replacement lines that call up custom files in the directories/soundbanks? Say you wanted to give Battle Mode exclusive characters Ranking Quotes, would it be possible to link code to new sound files and have them run in the event? If so, would it be a hassle? I have some base coding software on standby, I use Visual Studio Code to do some Java and HTML edits, but if I need something more concrete like C++ or something else, I'd be happy to pick up an extra language.

Yes, the Character Select mod does a limited version of this already, although it does not add any new voice lines. You will need to use some language that can interface with native code, C++ is the easiest because there is already a framework set up for it.
