Nexus Decomp + Rules Update - 8/11/21 - A News for Sonic Nexus.

Hey everyone! It's time for a quick update on things here! A new version of the decomp for Nexus has been released and because of a new feature being included, one of the rules will also be updated to reflect it.

1. Updates to the Decomp

  • Fixed the music loop issue.
  • Overhauled mod loading system.
  • A palette bug has been fixed.
  • The frame rate should be running at a stable 60FPS now.
  • Pressing left or right when having a lot of mods will now switch between pages to show all of them.
  • Pressing C while paused will now correctly show the game advancing one frame instead of only just the moving palette moving.
  • VSync speed up works correctly.

The new mod list system essentially makes the Active= line completely obsolete by handling what mods are active and disabled in the modconfig.ini file.

2. Rule Update:

Rule number 6 has had the part with the Active= line removed due to the new mod loading system. A mod.ini file is still required in your mod but from here on out the Active= line does not need to be added to a mod's in file. In the time of this rule's existence, thank you for following it!

3. Conclusion

That's all we've got for now! Make sure to go ahead and download the newest auto build from the Sonic Nexus Decomp page! Make sure you've got a Github account first as that is a requirement in order to download the latest auto build. For those of you who are new and want to make mods for this game, make sure to also follow this guide to set it up, extract the Data.bin file properly, and to play in widescreen.
