  • Adjustment Number of players has been changed to 32.
  • Feature Players can get inside the truck at the CT spawn by ducking.
  • Addition Second floor on CT spawn is accessible for players.
  • Addition There is a working elevator at CT spawn.
  • Improvement A lot of changes in the design of the whole map: Textures, brushwork, resized models, light, sounds, etc.
Industrious beta #2 - Assassination

Background: The terrorists seized the chemical weapons control center.
Only one employee accidentally survived and only he knows how to use the control panel and prevent the infection.

Terrorists: Eliminate the VIP before he reaches the goal.

Counter-Terrorists: Escort the VIP to the control panel and save him whatever it takes.

The screenshots are the ones of the author (from the above link), and those are the ones of the beta #2.
I make available to you (as download files), two versions of the map, the beta #1, which is one of the first version of the original author, and the beta #2, which is the version with fixes, improvements and changes (made by Flash[CSM]).
Of course, I strongly recommend the latest version (beta #2), but I let the beta #1 in order to let you test it, compare it (to see the evolution), etc., or just use it if in case you might prefer it.
Meantime, on the beta #2, there are much more models (especially brushes) used (around +100), so the free space is more limited for additionnal resources (models/sprites) precached via addons's plugins on your server(s).
The NavMesh file (navigation file for zBots [CZ Bots]) has been recently made by Tigre11ify, I've updated the archive with it (beta #2 only), so you can download it back then replace it in your server/game, or directly download it from here.

Also, this map is well-made and can be used as reference/example for quality mapping under CS and CZ (even under all the other HL1 based games), because the author pay attention to the detail (as environment paths, open/locked doors sounds, textures sounds on shot, good looking textures, decals, lights, etc.).

As final note, this map is currently in development (the beta2 is the latest, but maybe possible further betas could come), so for the ones who wish to track the development of enhanced versions, official post is here (the download links should be in the latest pages, I suggest to browse the whole topic via Google Translate, if you don't understand Russian!).

    Wow! Very amazing map!

    Very high level of details made this map very realistic. Original design for an assassination map is so rare that it is an achievement! Congratulations!
    Nice gameplay and modern textures, this map have an interesting background story, I love it!

    I hope it will be better to play with bots with the .nav file I made ;)

    Hello there! There was a long time since i logging on gb.
    I was worked on de_fabstor_b2 and working on as_industrious_b2. Looks like it's going to be a good tradition, making b2 version. :)
    I believe b2 will be soon released, work almost done.
    If there any suggestion, i'll hear it out here or on "russian forum" (english language is welcome on CSM).

    Hello everyone! I'm the author of this map (tried to change user name here to "THEA", but couldn't because it's taken). But if you doubt it's me, Nikosemen can confirm it or  name "Droop_eq" can be found at my previous map de_fabstor.  ;)

    I've read all posts (main post and your reply to Nikosemen), so I would like to say a few things about this map.

    #1: Thank you StevenKal, and others who liked it! I'm very glad and happy that you like my map. By the way I was very surprised by the attention to this map. I enjoy the mapping, so there's nothing better for me than this. I wanted to post my maps here, but always was too lazy for it. So thank you for posting it here. :D

    #2: About 20 spawn points:
    Unfortunately, map is too small for 32 palyers, so I decided there should be only 20. I guess it's obvious that I paid more attention to design, but not balance and gameplay. Shame on me . :(

    I could've added 12 more points, but it would have become as_iceworld then :D

    #3: About b1, b2, b3 and other versions:
    In the official post of b1 I uploaded rmf and wad files, so everyone can feel free to remake it in any way he wants. Flash makes b2 version now, I don't interfere the process of development, because I think the one who makes the map or remake knows better how it should be. Like it was with b1 and b2 versions of the de_fabstor.

    appreciating my works! I also hope I will make my maps with such quality and attention to details and I  hope with more interesting gameplay :)
    For many years I want to make my classic mappack, which will include de_fabstor, as_industrious and my cs_ untitled for now map.
    I don't know how long it's gonna take, I can make one map for 2-3 years, because I'm very self-critical and I usually create and then delete some part of map many times until I can say "Yes, I like it now".

    I'm not sure if I'm able to do it I hope I will make final versions of my maps. Also I like other people's versions very much!

    If there're some things at as_industrious_b1 (or my other map) you didn't like I'd be glad to know about them to fix them in the future.

    Man, you have great taste in design! I liked the style in which you set the map. To be a VIP map, it could perfectly be a Zombie Escape map! Obviously you get a 10/10 ;)
