- A Mod for Counter-Strike: Global Offensive
So I sat down and pondered just how deep one can dig. After several restless nights there was a realization: The whole of Earth has to be dug out. And this time I'll even have some semi-scientific ramblings to back me up!
So what we have here is a far-less-that-I'd-like-it-to-be-detailed city of unspecified origin, by pure coincidence located right beneath the original Dust level and connected to it through Earth's crust by a tunnel with airlock which got blown away by explosion.
The playable area is a small-ish arena with my favourite spice - jumppads. Fall damage is disabled (and so is cascade lighting, because it's ugly as a hungover witch in the morning).
After 40 days in development, hopefully it would've been worth the weight.
pls don't watch video I'm terribad pls ;-;

Apparently contest field got reset when I was updating description with link to original sound I've used.
Well played -_-
Thanks for notifying, I'll contact organizators now, see how this can be fixed.
Thanks for the feedback. I've planned this level to have considerably more detail - especially in the 3D skybox area, which right now is filled with dull, monotonous building stubs. Unfortunatelly, time's up.
If anyone is interested in 2D skybox, I can release it separately. You can also extract it from .bsp file at any time.

> Personally, I just wish you would do something else with this map, (I mean gamemode) it just seems like many went out to make a DE_map or CS_map, This has alot more potential then "just" an AR_ gamemode.
> Goodluck in the competiton!
Thanks. I've been thinking about coming up with standardized set of rules and mechanics for a faster, arena shooter-like gameplay mode, but I seriously doubt it'll gain any significant traction in CS:GO. Such a mode will require number of specifically laid out, spacious levels that also employ said mechanics.
I love the brush work here. You've achieved a fantastic sense of scale. The game-play seems like a lovely homage to the FPS games of old.
The download is a little on the large size, but that's testament to the sheer amount of work you've put into this release!
Some of the shadows look a little odd in the skybox, but with that much architectural detail to compensate it's not a major worry.
Overall the visuals look great and the map plays like a solid old-timey classic.
Once again, awesome skybox and more of those are needed. Crazy ammount of work, looks very futuristic! Nice that you managed to release this also before deadline :)
I also knew you would make a space themed map and I made a space themed map anyways!
