Finally, surf_utopia is released for my birthday.
This is a highly detailed linear surf map with a huge focus on the jail. There are 6 endings in the surf which all lead to different locations in the jail. This map also has a kill system in the jail which opens hatches in the ceiling at random and drops explosive crates.
- Fixed an exploit where players can build in jail side walls
- Made the personal dispenser length longer so it is easier to heal teammates
- Made better for bunny hopping
- Fixed another exploit where players can build in jail side walls
- Fixed minor lighting errors
- Fixed "Inserted trigger_teleport with no model" console error
- The compile for this map takes up 99.5% of the max brush sides.
- The jail alone takes up about 20% of the max brush sides.
- This map took over 5 months to make from start to release.

Hey! I'm currently a mod on a server (machineshop.tf) that loves your map so much, we run it 24/7! However, I've been asked multiple times by the server community to do something about the kill trigger. Because you don't have to surf to get to the button, It's extremely annoying to have people just rocketjump up there and spam explosives at everyone. I'd like to edit the map so that the ONLY way to activate the bombs is from the endroom, rather than the balcony in jail. If there is any way you could upload the .vmf of the map, that would be great. All credit will remain yours, we simply want to make the map more enjoyable. Thanks!

I've reached already the jail entrance just past the big pillar.
Say, out of curiosity, what percent is the "LDR leaf ambient" in the compile report? I've gone past 100% in a map I am making.
Pros: Looks, and plays fantastically. Very smooth surf. End bonus is pretty innovative too!
Cons: None that I can think of at the moment.
Improvements: I'm sure if you weren't confined to the limits of hammer, then you'd be able to make this even more awesome.
Notes: Probably the best TF2 surf map on the servers.
