  • - Overall fps should be slightly increased
  • - Minor fixes

0.3.0 Alpha 6y

The objectives are spreaded along two separate towns, and to quickly reach all of them you will need the train..

This map consists of two towns linked by a near one kilometer long railway with two trains moving along it, each one starting from one of the towns respectively. Flags are situated on both the towns, so the teams must use a train to quickly move from one to another.
Both teams normally spawn on the first town from west but, as long as a team is holding all the last three flags of the second one, he will respawn on it.
Each train has a resupply wagon which cantains several pickable weapons. Due to this, installing a specific server-side mod (see installation istructions) is highly recommended, otherwise these pickable weapons will have only one amount of ammo.

If you will upload this map to your server, i would like that you send me its IP address, so i can play it, even with you.

I am very curious to know what you feel while playing on this map and what gameplay defects in your opinion it has.

Installation Istructions:

  1. Copy the BSP file in the "maps" subfolder of your game/server installation. This subfolder can stay in the "download" folder or in a subfolder of the "custom" folder (ex: "custom\myfavoritesmaps\maps").
  2. Copy the SMX file (downloadable from here) in your server's "dod\addons\sourcemod\plugins" folder.

Known issues

  • Trains' walls are quite "thin"; infact, for example, an MG can fire through walls from the begin to the end of the trains.
  • Quite low fps

Yes, i think a 3D skybox is a must, but firstly i am focusing on optimizing the gameplay. Thanks.

Great to see people are still making maps for DOD:S (one of my fav games!). I haven't had a chance to download it yet, but judging from the screenshots I would consider adding a 3D Skybox, so the map looks less "flat".
