  • Adjustment -Some dark areas removed from map 1
  • Adjustment -Some enemies from map 2 were replaced with weaker ones to make the map slighty easier
  • Adjustment -Map 4: monster placement was modified to be tougher while annoying platforming section was made a lot easier and short

-Unzip at Steam/steamapps/common/Half-Life/valve/maps
-Run Half-Life
-Choose difficulty and start a new game
-Open console and type "map chambersa" (without quotes)

    Eight months have passed my goodness time flies.. ok, two announcements:
    -I'm updating the episode, just to get rid of few annoying parts that slow you down and break the purpose of this episode (making fast passed battles)
    -Someone resubmited my maps with a different texture pack in Mod DB under the name of "Dark Theory", if you see that page, pls don't download those maps because they belong to me, the guy just post them there without any credit. I have no idea how to report him.

    Imma be real with you chief, there's some pretty big problems with this. The beginning is too fucking dark, I can't see shit and my flashlight kept running out. Could've used a bit more lighting. That narrow corridor after the first teleport is a real chore. You gotta wait for the bullsquid's death animation to finish to progress since it's so thin. Could've done without that first gonarch fight too. Ironically, it starts picking up in quality around the platforming segment. I was really starting to enjoy playing this around when the alien grunts made their appearance. Everything after this point gave me a bit of a quake vibe which is appreciated. The soldier placement was pretty interesting, made it really feel like they were victims of whatever was going on. The room where you have to platform on thin pillars was really annoying, and it wasn't very intuitive that you were supposed to jump in that liquid cesspool at the top. That elevator when you get the tau cannon is pretty dumb. Why would you give the player a tau cannon and then have them fight snarks? I'll be honest, I didn't fight them the way you probably wanted me to. I just bhopped around them until they exploded on their own. The boss fight is nothing special but it's serviceable and doesn't overstay it's welcome, plenty fun. I do like how you put little pits here and there. It really punished me for just bhopping in circles while fighting the gonarch at the end. The last room looks pretty good too.
