Back when the polycount contest was going on, I made a world traveling sniper pack which then turned into lawrence of arabia style. I finally got around to releasing them. This is the hat. Includes files to keep it from dropping, read the readme for more information if an update breaks it. Replaces any sniper hat except the trophy belt and hatlessness. Now can replace the snaggletooth as well.

    Hey man, I heard about the Halloween Update that you cant replace Gibus, and that is like the only hat all the unwealthy dudes have, So yeah, no one kinda listened to me so i used this skin and i just simply made it for Ellis Cap, if anyone wants this for Ellis Cap , Please PM Me, should i release it guys? I just need permission so yeah..

  • Hey Svdl, I love your pack and I wish it got in but unfortunately, it didn't. Right now I'm using your 3 items: Top Gun Tied Thing Bazaar Bargain Shahanshah and I think they look awesome! But the only down-side is the Dangerback which I wear with those three to complete the pack and get the ability looks horribly out of place. So I was wondering if you could do some form of reskin for the Dangerback to make it fit in. If you could do this it would be greatly appreciated.

    All the files are set up correctly in the max's head replacement and it works fine for me. You are extracting the three folders from inside the maxhat folder into the tf folder and not the maxhat folder itself, right? Check if things are set up like this: Various sniper_ttg_max files in \team fortress 2\tf\models\player\items\sniper\ headscarf vtf and vmt files in \team fortress 2\tf\materials\models\player\items\sniper\ items_game.txt in \team fortress 2\tf\scripts\items\ extracting the three folders into the tf folder does this automatically. It sounds like you've extracted the three folders into the wrong place.

    Make sure the server you're playing doesn't have a pure setting above 0. Type sv_pure in the console to make sure. If the hat works in the loadout selection screen or in a game you've started yourself, then it is installed correctly. If not and you're sure you did everything right, tell me what hat you're trying to replace and I'll take a look if there's a problem.

    Crunchyllama009 So when you open the .rar archive, there's all these folders named after hats. If you want to replace the gibus, you open then folder named gibus. Inside is three folders, materials, models and script. You put these three into your team fortress 2\tf folder. Now the gibus, when worn by the sniper, is replaced.
