Relics of the Past[VERSION 1.0.3] - A Mod for The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild (WiiU)

The time has finally come! First, I want to thank you all for being very patient with me and the Relics Team as we polish up and develop this project, we hope you enjoy this MASSIVE update to this project! Enjoy!

[WELCOME TO VERSION 1]

"Calamity Ganon, the powerful force of Evil that wreaked havoc on Hyrule and it's people 100 years ago, stands tall even now as Link must follow his destiny to save Hyrule!"

Zelda: "Link! The fate of Hyrule rests with you! You must hurry! Even now, Calamity Ganon's power grows with each passing day. More and more monsters are appearing and endangering the innocent lives our people! It is up to you to save them!"


Are you ready for the challenge ahead of you? In this version of Relics, you will encounter tons of new challenge and combinations of difficulty you never have experienced before. What will you do? Run and hide? Fight your way through? Use your stealth skills to deliver the final blow? What you do and how you decide to approach these new challenges will impact your experiences as the newly revamped scaling system presents tons of new things to find, and much better rewards for exploration.  Get ready for a brand new experience brought to you by the Relics of the Past Team!!

There are A TON of new map changes, here is a map for reference that will also be included in the mod packs.



VERSION 1.0.3 CHANGES:

[ Version 1] March 2nd, 2020: FIXED SWITCH BUILD CRASH FROM CHEATS FOLDER

Mechanics:

- Implemented stun cancel, When getting knocked back, ensure that you are inputting a direction on your movement stick to cancel out of the stun or paraglide out of it if in the air.

- Ancient Arrows no longer vaporize most common enemies, instead they deal a high amount of damage, strong enough to compensate for the change. 

- Added Shield Surf Boost for extra movement and traversing.(Still being tweaked)

- Climbing speed improved.

- Attack up x3 from food multiplier set to 2, Originally 1.5

- Revali's gale charges instantly, Cool down and charge count un-touched.

- Guardians will now target NPC's

- Yiga now spawn in groups, it is possible for a group of each to both spawn at once though this spawning is implemented in the base game(Spawning is Random): 

  Archers: 2 to 4

  BladeMasters: 2 to 3

- Enemy Scaling revamped and Weapon Scaling Reworked for more variety: {Weapon Scaling system will recieve tweaks according to feed back}

  [SOME NOT ALL]Ruin Guardians will revive late game, providing more dynamics in difficulty. Distance from Hyrule Castle will affect how many Ruin Guardians can be revived(Still reworking proper implementation of this)

  [Weapons] Some areas of the map that have Rusty Weapons will have scaling on them, Meaning later in the game they may scale into elemental, Ancient or RG Weapons depending on the type. Wooden Shields can scale to Daybreakers. Rusty shields can scale to Hylain Shield far into late game(Usually after getting all the DB then fighting Ganon/Killing tons and tons of enemies after getting all DB's).

- You may now cancel JumpStrike with paraglider.

- Introduction of Power Weapons. Power Weapons are special equipment you can find through exploration. A power weapon is a weapon with a abnormally high Attack Up modifier.

- Dark Mini-Guardians now recieve more damage from Guardian/Ancient weapons.

- Guardian/Ancient weapons overall are more effective to both regular enemies and Guardians. Regular enemies recieved a reduced ratio of damage compared to guardians.

- The non-decayed varients of Guardians Stalkers have recieved a slight AI improvement to differenciate between the new looking ones vs the decayed version of a Stalker

- Ancient Arrow prices increased at the Akkala tech lab.

- Arrow max for Shop restocking now set to 500 instead of the original 50, meaning that they will restock as long as you have less than 500 Arrows

Items/Objects:

- Added the ~Ancient Bow Mark II~

- Royal Guard Bows and RG Shields improved further, RG bow can now recieve 5-shotburst, for this bow the burst shot is "Sinle Point Focus" all arrows one behind the other hitting a single point.

  RG shields now have a parry hitbox dealing 60dmg(Compared to the Lynel shield which does 30). Can also recieve attack up modifier to compliment the parry hitbox

- Ancient Shortsword no longer a Guardian Sword++ clone(Damage = 51). Ancient Shortsword wields an improved damage ratio compared to the Guardian Sword counterparts.

- ArcAngelOfJustice's Giant Octarock implemented into ROTP

- QUICK-SHOT BUG ELIMINATED:

  All bows have an increased fire rate to make up for the QUICK-SHOT modifier being removed entirely.

Divine Beast Vah Ruta Revamped/increased difficulty, More enemies.(Needs Balancing)

    Great Mod, I absolutely love it!
    I wanted to report a few bugs:
    - Some items are displayed with empty names when obtained (e.g. arrows ; 50 or 100 I guess)
    - Some attack-up items don't display the attack-up feature in the inventory after a while (not sure what triggers that, save and quit maybe?). Example: the Attack-up + 55 ancient bladesaw.
    - Although bows' page 2 is empty, I cannot get more bows (maybe I am not getting the purpose of that page).

    Any help would be appreciated, and again thank you for this Mod. I've been looking forward to it for months.

  • Really enjoying this. Glad I got the DS "You Died" Text/SFX when I die. It seems that using the PS4 UI mod, it does not keep everything. I had to sacrifice the RotP UI Logo when it is on a loading screen so I can have the full PS4 UI. Its no one's fault. It was just a load order issue. Cant wait for any new updates from this. Good stuff.

  • Trying to install with BCML but it won't accept the Update Directory or Base Game Directory, and can't save settings. I'm using the e0751 version above, what am I missing?

    I absolutely love this mod. I always thought the guardians could be scarier and this certainly delivers on that front.

    I'm having a problem with Vah Ruta. Once I finish with the shock arrows the game just gets stuck at the loading screen. I saw someone else had this problem and you recommended remerging, which I tried to no avail. Is there something else I can try?

  • I keep getting a CTD, without fail, when getting halfway across Hyrule field, I keep trying to go for the picture next to the castle and everytime I get close the game freezes and just crashes.

    I keep getting an instant CTD when loading this mod through BCML. I've tried with mods installed, and with only this mod installed, but both times I get a CTD before the shader compiling even starts.

    I downloaded BCML and I put Switch mode on and BCML says to choose a base and update directory.  What does that mean? Please help me resolve this problem.

    I have a problem downloading this. Zip file seems to be broken and can't be extracted by winrar. Also, loading mod on BCML works but glitches out my saves. Can anyone help with this?
