This map is the second try to build Minas Tirith in the Far Cry 2 Editor. It took about 5 Months and is now ready to play. Maybe if I have enough time I'll add further buildings. The map is more complex than you can see on the screen shots because I added several tunnels through the mountain. Have fun playing it and tell me if you have any ideas how to improve it. ;)

Oh man you must have used the editor to see how awesome this is. you cant change textures of objects, only ground textures. there are predefined rocks you can use to build up the mountains. Neither custom objects nor custom textures as mentioned. he has i think 3 different types of rocks, there are some that may fit better but actually the mountain is well done fore the capabillities of the ediotr.
Whats really amazing about this is that he had to build up the whole city (!) out of hundreds of small boxes dragged and dropped and positioned manually. this explains why it took ages to create this. I tried to do some complex maps in there too and I failed since I was really pissed after 2 hours.
What makes it even better is the fact that he built catapults (and props) out of the few objects given in the editor. The stairs are postioned very precisly and fit in the overall.
I once tried to build a giant wall out of single pieces and I soon recognized that even if the objects simply overlap only a few inches there will be an awful flickering caused by the textures overlapping. Seeing this giant building its greatly done without it. Again, great work!
