zm_zombie_turret_attack_v2 - A Mod for Counter-Strike: Source.

Version 2 of my first zombie map

This map is simply a version 2 from my origonal. I spent almost all day today working on the map fixing things such as the lighting, the textures, and adding a bit more to it. I added an entire unground tunnel system and 4 towers which can be accessed from the ground, on top of the buildings, or from underground. Well in the map there are several rooms that have things such as chairs, couches and vending machines to block the doors with. Although to make these work the best, i'd suggest having ragdoll physics set onto the server, otherwise the map itself won't work as good as it could. There are also several artillary shooters in the map. There are 2 on one building then one on another. These are fully functional and can be used by pressing 'e' while by them. You can aim them with the wsda buttons and shoot them with the left mouse button (or whatever button you use to fire weapons with). At the spawns, there are 2 P90 dispencers for each team since a P90 seems like one of the best guns in zombie mod, you can just run up there, grab the gun and run to somewhere safe. I put the spawn areas for both teams on opposite sides of the map so the map could be used for other things such as dm instead of only zombie. But both sides have buy zones in them as well. The map itself is dark in some areas to give it a bit more of a scary feeling to it. Knowing that a zombie could be right behind you, but you can't see it in the dark could ultimately make this map great. I spent about 38 hours total creating and perfecting this map, so please, if you find problems in it, tell me. I even included a real working ferris wheel to just mess around with and to have fun on (note: i did not make the ferris wheel, it was a downloaded prefab). I am also working on a deathmatch version of this map which will be made entirely for deathmatch.

    Indeed, that is what I meant. Sorry if I wasn't being clear enough.
    OH! i lol. I thought u only meant by light source as in having a light entity. But I think I just forgot to put those things in there, it would add looks to the map but it would take a while to align all the light sources for the lights itself since i've already set up the lights. I could do it no problem but I don't know if I have the time now.

    By light source I believe he meant an actual source for the lighting, we can tell you have an entity there. But what about a lamp or lightbulb. something for the light to be coming from rather than magically there.

    what do you mean by there's no light sorce? i've got light_env in there, several light_spot and several plain light entities. And aligning the texures on this map would make it nearly impossible to make the map the way I want it to be. The gameplay is still fine without the texures aligned. Evidence I don't see a light source there. Or anywhere in the building for that matter. Gameplay doesn't make a map, but it is extremely important. So is everything else about mapping a.k.a. textures, brushwork, etc - all of which this map lacks. You can't just build a map and call it great because the gameplay is good. And aligning textures isn't hard. It's either you're arrogant or don't know how to. Either way, it's pathetic and takes 5 minutes tops. If you're having trouble with certain textures, pick ones higher in resolution.
    i understand how making the textures aligned is important, but I still don't see how you don't see a light source. I've got light all over the place on this map.
    Did you look at the screenshot as evidence? Read and look at what I write as I'm trying to help you instead of just giving you a bad assessment. >=|
