Evertime when i was bored and had time (in the last months) I worked a little bit on this map.
The story may seems to be freaky, because this map was planned to be a HL² SP-series.
With the intention to "clean" their small town from a group of cocaine dealers and consumers,
some residents, camouflaged as an anti terror unit, have confiscated 3 tonnes of columbian cocaine and charged it with atrazin.
They thought, no one would dare to take a step into this haunted villa.
The cocaine dealers, formally known as "Terrorists", have to burn the poisoned cocaine,before the insane residents sell it. "
So in fact, damianogre-s opinion stands, he is right.
The map is beautyful, it has a feeling too, but its totally unplayable.
Over 15 people you dont get over 50 fps, more around 20-30.
And the server gives a choke too, on this map, wich can only come from the map itself.
The layout cannot be used that well too, some areas of the map will never be used, since there are easy chokepoints, where the T and CT can kill eachother in a few seconds after map start.
As long the map dont get the optimization, and proper layout, it will be still beautiful on the pictures - but unplayable on the servers.
Well, I got no idea how my map went in here (interlopers I think), but thank you BigDog ;)
More than 200 downloads, hell yeah.
But Damianogre, you are right, the map is not really optimized, because I would not have had the time to make a new navigation mesh, if I changed the map. Everything was ready and layed around here ...
So I'm sorry.
Indeed it would be damn easy to add some areaportals, etc. but I really have no time.
