HERE IS A NEW NAV FILE FOR THE MAP!
cs_merididian: by K!LLER^WORM
The map takes place on a yacht in the Caribbean by the port of Tikiman's Island. There are four hostages. The map is not too large but consists of 4 total floors. You can go inside almost every room in the map (cockpit, kitchen, lounge, office, bar, flying bridge deck, and others).
Read the README in the map file or press "M" while in-game to see credits to individuals for their help and use of some of their models.
A group of US Weapons Scientists were taking a "vacation"
to the Caribbean when a group of armed men took over the
ship. They are now holding the U.S. scientists hostage
and are threatening to kill them.
You now have to enter the yacht and rescue the scientists
at all costs.... don't let them be killed!! They hold
very valuable information.
Hi, friends! Here is a manually optimized (hand-tuned) and fully place named NAV-file (Navigation Mesh for playing with Bots) for this cheerful fast-paced summer-atmospheric map. Play and Enjoy! :-) Also Great Thanks to KillerWorm for his Great Work!
This map is very beautiful looking, and the gameplay is incredibly good for such a linear layout. Not many major flaws found, except that MAYBE the spawns are too close and the hostages are separated too far from eachother.
What i like is that you included a NAV file with it, i played some rounds with the bots, and it was good enough. However, they commonly got stuck in the bookshelf room behind the cockpit, between the stairs behind the cockpit, and between the roof and the ledge in front of the cockpit. Some CTs also just stayed in their spawn looking at the sea or the stairs. Nothing too much though. EDIT: Thanks for including a new one, got to test it out
I found some invisible walls that were in my opinion needless, such as the one at the railing next to the stairs near the rafts.
The map is very well done and one of the most visually pleasing i have seen. Not the best gameplay-wise, but could be handy in GMod as well.
