_"...but you can at least die like a samurai."_
This is O'Ren Ishii's (a.k.a. Cottonmouth) Katana from the Kill Bill movie.
O'Ren had the Crazy 88's Yakuza gang as her personal bodyguard and apparently didn't need to use her sword much, so she carried it in a beautiful Shirasaya mounting. This type of mounting was traditionally used to transport or store blades when they were not going to be used for a period of time, and is distinctive because of the lack of Tsuba (the hand guard between the hilt and the blade).
For that I always liked this Katana, so here it is in Left 4 Dead.
Enjoy!

Sadly my models are not going to look good on GoldSrc no matter what. They are made with normal mapping in mind, meaning that the smoothing of the low poly model depends on the normal maps not just to increase detail, but to fix the low poly smoothing.
To make them look good in GoldSrc it would be necessary to redo the smoothing groups and then make new textures with static lighting in mind.

> Sweet stuff mate, I wonder if anyone will compile it for some other games or so :p Still one hell of an epic model!
Seeing this as a replacement for Half Zatoichi would sure be good
