Well, I'm reloading all the popular CS1.6 maps to bring them to life in CSPromod.

This time is DE_AZTEC (now named CSP_AZTEC). I tried to keep the environment the same as before.

--It has 16inch lightning (Same detail of CS:S official maps) and has moving clouds. Its cubemaps are already built and the rain works fine. The thunder system is the same of CS1.6 to strategy purposes.

--It has realistic thunder lightning effects, as well as sounds (indoor and outdoor)

--Cubemaps are perfect, in dark models are dark, in light models are bright.

--Corpses no longer hurts when attacked.

Hope you like it, this is the final version, and it is bug free.

    i´m working on an assault for csp, but i´ve a little problem: i want to test some things with bots...is there any way to get the bots playing normal?


    Man, forget assault, I've already done it. Its finished, but not released yet. In july it will come out.

    Hi. i like the layout of your map. it looks really oldschool. that´s cool.
    but i´m stunning a bit that you hadn´t chosen to remake 1.5-aztec instead of remaking 1.6-aztec. 1.5 aztec was way better in balancing..
    anyway.. great map. love that style.

    If you didn't get headshots in 1.6, then you missed.

    Good map, but a shame that aztec isn't played in any decent leagues anymore.

    Hmmm maybe you are right. But in fact it is a downgrade of some stuff. I've heard some rumors that hitboxes will be modified to be like the ones in CS 1.6 which is not good for gameplay. I remember shooting on the head and guess what, no headshot lol. Anyway, making remakes is pretty cool, I don't know why but I just love it!


    I don't think so. It was times better in cs1.6 to give headshots. But I used to receivem more headshots too ;)

Notes
Valve Hammer Editor 4.0: Complete rebuild of de_aztec (CS1.6):

Each block of the game was rebuilt. This will prevent that any descompile glich bug the game.

Valve Hammer Editor 3.4: Saving .map file to .rmf

Hammer 4.0 does not open .map files, so Hammer 3.4 transformed the descompiled map to something that Hammer 4.0 still opens.

WinBSP: Saving .bsp file to .map:

It was not secure to rebuild a map just looking in-game (size purposes). So I used this to take the sizes to rebuild the map in Hammer.
