IntroductionSometimes, we see the "trashed submissions" on GameBanana. Trashed submissions are hard to identify and displaying them from the submission list without the tag is like stepping on a landmine; meaning the users will be surprised with the trash notice. Also, reviving the trashed submissions is sometimes necessary for the users' interest, so I suggest some improvements for them:
#1: The "Trashed" tag to make them more noticableRecently, GameBanana started showing "Flagged" tag in the titles of flagged submissions.
However, the trashed submissions are not tagged, meaning the users can't easily identify the submissions are trashed.
For the convenience of users, the "Trashed" tag should be shown for trashed submissions.
#2: Options for logged in users: View Archive and RecycleIf you are logged in, you can use two options to take advantage of the trashed submissions:
View ArchiveIf the user thinks a trashed submission is interesting, the user can view the archived version of the submission.
Downloads are also available for the user's interest.
RecycleIf the user wants to revive the submission with improvements, the user can post drafts of the improved version of submission to "recycle" it.
The drafts are reviewed by Game Managers, the trasher, and the submitter to maintain the better submission.
Trashing the submission is usually done by a user or Game Manager who is dissatisfied with the submission due to the violation of the site/section rules, so reviewing the draft with these members are necessary to gain more positive acclaims.
If a submission is already recycled, the user can suggest it and review to the "draft reviewers", which is mentioned above.
After the draft is reviewed, both the draft and trashed submission are checked by support members and draft reviewers if these violates the rules. If the trashed submission complies with the rules, the trashed submission will be untrashed instead.
Usually, if the submitter thinks the trashed submission complies with the rules and would like to request the untrash, they make a support ticket about that. If a support ticket about untrashing a submission is processing, this will be preferred instead of the recycling process.
However, if there's a special reason is needed to recycle (such as the draft is a revived version of the outdated submission which was trashed), both the draft and trashed submission are approved. In this case, the "recycle notice" will be appear on the untrashed submission. Note that this rule only applies if the trashed submission complies with the site rules.
