Survival of the Wild
A Mod for The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild (WiiU)
Added a modular mod pack for the project, now you can pick between any camera view and enable or disable "disable fast travel" mod. ONLY PICK ONE MOD TYPE AT A TIME. example: dont pick 2 different camera views at the same time. fast travel is enabled by default and no camera mods installed by default.
made durability x2 instead of x5. thanks to NiceneNerd and his new durability mod!
Survival of the Wild is a complete overhaul to BOTW that adds and/or enhances the survival elements of the game. This is a hardcore difficulty type mod, great for players on a second playthrough looking for a challenge.
There are 2 seperate versions of the mod...
1) Normal Mode: The lite version of the mod with balanced gameplay for casual players.
2) Master Mode: The hardcore version geared more towards survival game junkies with more difficult settings and mods.
I am doing something wrong and I am unable to install the new version or update, I deleted all of the above and when I gave it to install folder and selected the BreathOfTheWild_Survival_of_the_Wild_Mod_Pack_v0.3 folder I get the image error. When I try with individual folders, for example the cameras folder or a specific camera folder, this wrong also occurs. I'm doing something bad but I don't know what, please help, thanks.
I left an reply to your previous reply that you can find there, and here I leave a new message with more details! Thank you for attending both
Another detail, when the rain appears at night, the darkness disappears, which should not happen, I imagine. Although I have to say that the ease with which the bonfire is seen on the horizon despite the distance, is how I think it should look when everything is really dark.
And about my previous messages talking about the illumination of objects that project light, such as bonfires of enemy camps, fire, lamps, villages, NPCs making routes, etc., in the following image you have an example of how despite being the fire in the darkness, fire does not illuminate the surroundings, darkness covers even the illumination and it is unreal that nothing is illuminated on the horizon or with fire, as I said in previous messages!
Thank you very much to read me, I'm sorry to be heavy, but I want to put all my effort into making this mod the best possible, especially in how you live the night and lighting, I will help as much as possible, THANK YOU!
Hello again, I have one last suggestion. The lights of the candles in the field or the eyes of animals, or torches and fires of enemy camps, or villages in the distance, I think it should be stronger to see the light on the horizon at night, That would make it more real. That in addition to the darkness the lights could be seen in the distance to have references, it would make the game more real, thanks.
I think that the perfect darkness is the one that occurs at approximately 20:25, 20:30, while at 20:40 the darkness is absolute and unreal because there are no sources of light in the distance nor the glow of distant lights. It would be great to improve the light sources seen on the horizon during the night, for example in this image we see how the old man's candleholder barely gives light and if you walk away you just don't see it because the black color covers it.
In this other image you can see how the old man's candleholder barely illuminates and Link always except in small areas of the body, it always looks black and everything around the candleholder is barely illuminates
In short, the little light and the low or inexistent lights (excepto volcan and towers) on the horizon do not help and it does not create a real environment, I think that a visible light of candles in enemy camps, towns, NPC walking... on the horizon during the night and that illuminates its surroundings, could make the exploration at night more interesting, next to a night with a darkness similar to that occurred during 20:30 instead of the darkness that occurs after 20:40. Thank you.
I don't know if the extended duration of the weapons is activated, since a traveler's sword broke fast.
I hope my feedback is not being annoying, I am trying to help as much as possible, thank you very much for this great work.
Hello, I would like to make a recommendation as a feedback, thanks.
When you play in the master mode and the night comes, around 20:40 (obviously game time), the night comes suddenly, suddenly everything is dark, I love the dark game at night, but I think the arrival of the dark night from 20:30 or 20:40 should be progressively and gradually, gradually darkening more until reaching total darkness, instead of appearing suddenly what makes the feeling that the night arrives artificially.
Also I want warn that day and night do not last two hours, I think the duration of the game day is still the default game duration.
Thank you very much for reading me and thank you for this amazing work!!!! Thanks
Hello, the first thing is to thank for this great mod and his work.
I have some doubts, I would like to know what options of the graphic pack that CEMU has by default are compatible with this mod.
And more importantly, I use the default serfrosts preset, I love it by day, but if I use it at night the stars are not visible in the sky, so I disable it and use the darkness of the Survival of the Wild mod, which lets see the stars in their entirety and gives a more beautiful and real night. The problem comes when I like to activate the Serfrost preset during the day, but during the night I have to deactivate it, so I have to be all the time during the game by activating and deactivating the preset, would there be any way to have it during the day the Serfrost Preset and that at night it will be automatically disabled ?. One more doubt, the moon looks "blurry", I would like to know if it is normal or if it will be fixed, thanks.
Decided to try this out, using it as a graphic pack. Pretty cool but any idea why I'm having random spikes in speed while walking around or in the menus when I'm using this mod? I have the master mode one installed and all my other mods are off except for the DS4 UI, I'd really like to play this but this issue bugs me a little more than it should lol
Edit, now the game gets stuck in the master mode loading screen :/
I can install the mod as a graphics pack now with no issues, however Cemu still crashes after compiling shader cache. This is with Sotw Normal version as the only installed mod. No issue with the mod deactivated.
Edit: The .bnp file installs and runs fine. Just an issue running the graphics pack.
