Namecheap seems to be popular. I have no experience with them, I personally use godaddy. Despite using them for 6 years with no problems, with the recent events like SOPA and other fiascoes, I wouldn't recommend them. I have more experience with VPS's, though you mentioned you want cpanels.

Anyways, now that subwatch is working slightly hopefully this club can get a bit more active. Club forum isn't responding though, so I guess I'll just post here...
I'm working on my RetroDojo project and I'm more of a designer than developer - so I'm wondering what would be the smartest route for the back-end of the site?
I know the lazy way out would be use a CMS, but I already looked into that option once (hoping to get a functional prototype going) and in the long run I would be doing so much work to the application that it would turn into frankenstein.
My friend recommends using a template system, so I picked out CakePHP and am attempting to build this from the ground up.
Sound like the best route?
