I can't believe it's been 3 years of constant work. I started working on this game by myself on July 2015, so it's been even more than 3 years... Some people might already know about the game, the guys who helped me and the 5+ people who alpha/beta tested it. One or two people here on gamebanana definitely know about this and then some of my steam buddy's know as well. But, let's not waste time about the stuff in the background and focus on what's important, the game!
General Stuff: The game is an FPS (of course, lol), I've made most of it myself, but I've worked with a few individuals throughout the development, who've helped me in areas where I am inexperienced (mostly animation). I've done the level design and monster design, 7 monsters myself, the other 3 by individuals 1 and 2, I've done the concepts for the models/textures for them as well and the individual 3 made the animations. Also, I am not gonna talk about who made the sprites for the game... it was me. :D
There are 14 levels for the game (Level 13 is basically 2 levels), 10-15 minutes per level, that makes 150-225 minutes to go to the final boss area and 10-20 minutes to actually fight the boss and kill her at level 15. That's roughly 3 hours of gameplay.
Weapons: Knives, Knives, Knives and more Knifes! No guns, that was my one and only rule for making the game. Also, you might think "but kokorov you are probably re-using models that you've uploaded here (wah wah)". WRONG, 18 NEW MODELS for the knives, everything is never seen before, my best of the best, when I feel something is not up to standards or is extra I upload it here, lol.
The animations: I didn't do it myself they were done by individual 3 and 4. Individual 4, this guy came out of no where half a year ago and made stuff that should've taken months in year weeks, I swear. That's why I paid him the most (not joking)!
The Story of the Game: Futuristic + Post Apocalyptic. You start in a facility that actually looks empty (portal 1 style), but as you go along (lvl 4-ish) you will begin to see what the outside of the building looks like. The monsters you will encounter are machines (Inspired by Soma) and they Bleed, alot, blue blood (some bleed green I forgot, lol). Afterword you go exploring the world (not a lot of options for exploration due to the fact that there is a path that you must follow to go from lvl to lvl, it's like Half-Life 2 basically, but there are a lot of side stuff that you can do).
Some of the Side Stuff: There are logs written by individual 1 and me that flesh out some of the story and the story of the protagonist and the antagonist. If you choose to read this it will take you 10-20 additional minutes for the game, but if you don't care you don't need to read them (Doom 2016 Style).
Music: I compose most of the music and a (irl) buddy of mine who makes techno music for a living truly remastered all of the stuff that I send his way. 15 minutes of music that loops fluently + opening of the game music. Also, the environmental noise sounds (water, metal, etc), I *wink* re-made *wink* some of the environmental noise from other games (you wouldn't guess from where I've sampled them when (if) you hear them).
Steam Stuff: We were thinking of making the game cost 15 Euro. This way, I can give additional monetary support to the people that have helped me throughout this amazing project. Also for what I understand it will be 8,50 on launch week! So please, support my dream. The trailer will be ready for April 17 or 18 on a new youtube channel that will be up sometime next week. I can't say the launch date, but it will be in Summer.
Bugs: We've spent the last 4 months bug checking and fixing and adding final touches and dear god, the game is 99% finished, but we are still bug checking, cuz we don't want to shit the bed after the bed is done. (Sort of Speak)
Afterthoughts: What I can reveal, of course, about the game is general (non-specific stuff) and basically the title and the old logo [I don't know if I should release the new one].
Also, I have to say that, I did this shit without a Patreon, or GoFundMe, or other investors, or promotional stuff, I did pay these people out of pocket and even if this game is a failure (which it might as well be, lol), I will be the only one to have lost money and time and time and time and time. But hopefully people will buy it.
I've been thinking of giving popular youtubers some cash to promote it, but I don't know if it's worth it, I don't want to get scammed.
Here is a Taser image of the "Old Logo" for the game. (Again, this is the old one, I made this on the second month of development, the new one will be in the trailer for the game)
