Today is the day when I turn 16. It's been a wonderful 16 years of my life and I can't wait to live up to see more.
Let's see what's been going on in my life lately:
I tried out Unreal Engine 1 mapping. I have to say, it's certainly a different philosophy. Inverted, better be said. Instead of adding geometry, I was literally subtracting it. As a long-time Hammer-style mapper, embracing this was a bit hard for me.
(beautiful me :3) I got a free 2005 HP Compaq. Thanks auntie! It's got 512MB of RAM (2x256), an Intel Pentium 4-640 and a malfunctioning Ati Radeon X550. Eh, there will be something out of it once I upgrade the RAM and replace its graphics card. And obviously, lots of cleaning.
Since I had to connect it to a monitor, I finally re-purposed my ASUS monitor (which belonged to my old PC that died in 2014). Eventually I got sick of the half-working GPU and decided to use it as my laptop's 2nd monitor:
Running 5 games at once. Now that's an achievement. GZDoom crashed, but oh well. :P That fun ends when your brother finds out, though:
Eh, everyone wants to try out new things. Good thing the other kids in the village weren't nearby. :)
Also, from my previous birthday blog: "Interestingly, today on my birthday, I had a maths test. How unusual :O"
I can hardly believe this, but I also had a maths test today. What a coincidence, LOL. This may be one of my more memorable years. :)
Thanks for reading. Have a good rest of the remaining day-night cycle. :)
