College it's Here [GameBanana] [Blogs]

Well it happened, I graduated high school with flying colors and had absolutely no plan in what college to go to. Scholarships are actually kinda hard to come by, I'm by no means a low level student and I sent out my fair share of applications.

In the end I ended up with 2 scholarships and some financial aid through the FAFSA which allowed me to go to college for free so far.

I am in a 2 year community college for now with a plan to transfer and finish off a bachelors degree at a 4 year university.

What am I studying? Advertising and Graphic Design is what I chose to major in, obviously I have some experience with modding games and such but in the end I made the tough decision to keep that as a hobby.

I am enjoying my classes so far and have to say that college was something I was really nervous about at first but in all actuality the freedom you have to control your own future is something that really can't be topped.

I ended up majoring with a high school friend and have 2 other friends going for other various technical things such as welding. Weirdest thing is, my dad is also going to the same college with me to get a new degree in A/C, Heating & Refrigeration.

The only thing I can really describe this as is an adventure, I'm learning more about things I'm actually interested in such as the entire Adobe Creative Suite, sure Gen Ed. classes will come but I'm not too worried yet.
