I wouldn't even suggest tearing that 2nd level apart, just providing a little more direction (kinda like how the wall moves in the finale of Jacob's Landing). BTW, if you are putting more maps in to finish it out, then I'd strongly recommend lowering your number of aliens that spawn in levels 1 and 2. That's a lot of aliens for the first two levels which should be easier than the last 4 or 5 levels.

      i'm not 100% sure about lowering the alien numbers by too much, as most people are relishing the current set up - although i am aware that most people playing are veterans of jacob's rest, so newer players may not appreciate the difficulty curve. it'll be a balancing process to get the spawn numbers right that's for sure.

      it couldn't hurt. go ahead and ask him :) it'd definetly be better than my last featured map (aka my 2nd map... that was an embarrassment lol)

      try using a smokevolume brush if you want to get the same sorta effect i got, there's also a particle generating brush which is "func_dustcloud" i think. that will give a different sorta fog that might work better depending on what you are trying to do
