I decided to expand my skillset, so i did my first animation!
I have planned to do a fire and a reload anim, too.
Thanks to Hyper for his awesome tutorials, i've learned a lot. I also used his arm rig and his render setup.
It would be great if some pro animators could leave some feedback, thanks in advance!
Look up the Ruger MK II on youtube, I've rarely seen anyone at all pull the handle with their left like that.
It's really inconvienient and hard, try it yourself on an airsoft pistol or something similar.
I'd turn the left hand the other way around, so you have the pinky finger always pointing left and the palm of the hand pointing downwards(turning the whole hand 180 degrees)
Back to idle have too much bounces, reduce it so it will bounce only once.
The gun after slide releasing shouldn't spring that much.
The moment from frame 0 to where you grab the slide looks little bit slow; try to equalize the timing through whole anim.
You should arm some snap when the bolt returns to its idle spot. And the right hand movement downwards when you pull the bolt back should start some frames after the bolt starts moving.
For your first animation this is pretty great.

This tutorial might not be so helpful if you don't use max at all :/
