Of course first of all you need to extract everything by following my extract all files guide found here.
eg. For this tutorial I will edit the desert eagle (Black Kite).
Select your weapon/item from the extracted folder located at "C:\Program Files\S.T.A.L.K.E.R. - Clear Sky\unpacker\unpacked\textures"
eg. for the desert eagle texture we will need the file "wpn_desert_eagle.dds" found at "C:\Program Files\S.T.A.L.K.E.R. - Clear Sky\unpacker\unpacked\textures\wpn". Screenshot A and Screenshot B
You will need an editing program like Photoshop or Paint.net for the next part. If you have photoshop you will need the .dds plugin found on Nvidia's dev pages. If you want to use Paint.net get it here.
Copy the specific file and the corresponding thm file you wish to change to the same folder structure but in gamedata.
eg. So for the desert eagle we will need "wpn_desert_eagle.dds" and "wpn_desert_eagle.thm". Copy these files to "C:\Program Files\S.T.A.L.K.E.R. - Clear Sky\gamedata\textures\wpn" Screenshot C and Screenshot D
Open this moved file in Photoshop or Paint.net or other program and change as you wish.
Save the file. Make sure the file saves as .dds again or it won't be read in-game.
Check in-game if it worked! If you get an error please let me know so I can see what the problem is and I can try to rectify it.

i think i found some kind of pr0n in the texture files :P
take a look at
fx_stalker_001.dds - > fx_stalker_030.dds
works like an animation. havent found this in the game xD
