Can't actually map?

It seems you can't fully map yet for TF2...

Yeah, probably just me again, but I can't seem to compile a TF2 map properly. I've set it all up properly, followed all the steps for extracting the models, materials etc and done the FDG etc, etc. I made a map. A simple but fun ctf with 2 bunkers and a middle playing field. Basically a test map for now. (Real idea for map is in production ;] ) So I compile. First problem, I get a tonne of 'could not load studio model ****' errors. Bummer. I then end it during RAD to find out how to fix it. Ending it causes the damn 'windows cannot locate file' error. Dammit. I've checked interlopers, and it tells me to enter a model into the prop_entities...but there is. Or I wouldn't have compiled you silly compile log. I get the feeling you can't fully compile maps at the moment on the fake SDK, or is it just me? I'll be mapping on something while I wait for an answer ;)

    Well, surely you must have done something wrong, because it works perfectly fine with me. I've created a test map with 2 props, and there were no errors. Try this: Instead of mapping for the mod you created, use HL2 Deathmatch instead, then follow the steps again for setting it up. I started using HL2DM a few days after I started mapping because my mod just randomly disappeared.

    And thus I await October 10. I say it's worth it because anything at this point released by Valve is better than things people will try to release before the official release.

    I tried what SGT said...no luck, still the studio model error. I'm going to start from scratch. I think I mooshed it up somewhere along the line =P

    Hmm, do you have the sky setup properly? It did that to me the first time. Sdk is real glitchy for me when I make a mod.

    All props in TF2 have to be prop_dynamic.

    Not all. I figured out that some do have to be dynamics, but not all. E.g. on my map, the only non-dynamic props are lights and wall signs.
