Good day. Has anyone seen this mod. This mod enlarges the original texture four times with Topaz A.I. Gigapixel. Well suited for vanilla Half-Life 2, but on Half-Life 2: Update there are problems with these textures, in some places they are of the wrong size, either increased, or vice versa. Who knows what could be the problem and how to fix it? Thanks!
In Half Life 2 Update, if you use any type of full texture conversion mod, say the Cinematic Texture packs for example, some spots will occur abnormal. These include train tracks, some grass spots and a few road curvatures. I think the HL2 Update developer(s) edited the placement or naming of textures on certain parts of the map because it was necessary for part of their enhancement, maybe to improve map geometry or something like that.
The only thing I can think of doing is finding out what new ordering and naming of textures on the edited parts of the map and renaming the mod textures appropriately to make it work.
Good day. Thanks for the response! I was hoping someone knows exactly how to fix this situation step by step, or have already corrected a similar problem with retextures in Half-Life 2 Update. I would try to fix this problem, but to be honest, I am very far from such things, if you understand what I mean. I checked the .vmt texture files in the Update as well as in the mod and did not find any special lines. It is a pity that I don’t know how to work with map files and somehow edit them. I just really liked this mod, as the textures are of good quality and they are original and completely fit into the game. Well, nothing, at least this mod can be used for models in the game and some decals. Thanks again for the respose!
