comments above not a solution, use [frame] command. that will be cut animation kryframes.

    Example:
    $sequence idle1 "idle1" fps 20 frame 0 1
    [hentaisquad.]

this might sound dumb and confusing but it work for me (just reply if u have better way to cut animations)
    -Export the animation as .smd
-Open the .smd files on notepad / notepad++ (i recommend the ++)
    -Open the animation on ms3d
-Play the animation and stop at your will (the end of animation u want)
-Look at the botton left which show u the frame information
-Back to notepad, press ctrl + f then type "time **" without quotation mark and change the ** with the end frame
P.S : if u asking "does it make the last frame chopped?" the answer is no because the first frame was time 0, if the last frame was frame 10 so the actual frame on the .smd files was time 9 because frame-1=time in the .smd files.
-delete everything from the "time **" line till the very last line and dont forget to add "end" at the botton of the source code (yeah, just a plain end word that can ruin everything"
-Save the files as .smd files again (duh)
-compile it to do a preview on model viewer or use ms3d again to see the animation

another way to see the frame was using a model viewer, just stop the animation on the sequence tab or weapon origin tab and see every frame one by one

well, thats how i port animation from unreal engine games where some games use 1 files to store all their animations (it was more complicated and tiring)

P.P.S : if u cut the middle animation u need to rename all the "time" line starting from time 0 or your animation wont be played

just see my SF2 ported models and animations as a reference such as this bow or this mac
    XD XD XD
