If anyone knows of an alternative method of extracting models from, or decompiling .mdl files, i would appreciate some info. Decompiling with the original mdldec.exe results in a model having nearly all of it's faces at a slight angle to each other, giving terrible smoothing errors that even i can't fix.

    when i decompile any goldsource model, i don't have any smoothing errors. try use kratisto's mdl decompiler in milkshape tool.
