A quick question....need help

A Forum Thread for GameBanana

My HLAMP usually lags. I listen to a song, and it'll stop, play, stop, play. Do you know what could be causing this? My computer stats are: CPU - AMD Athlon XP 2000+ SC - Creative Soundblaster Audigy Gamer VC - PNY Nvidia MX 420 Mobo - It's only a SDRAM (133) board w/680 (I believe) RAM OS - Win 2K Pro It never used to do this until I reinstalled my OS. Also, does anyone know why my Winamp (WA3) volume controls all of the applications I am running volume?

Yeah, I just fixed the Volume issue. I discovered that the DS was off. I don't know what could be causing the lag though. I never used to get HLAMP lag until I reinstalled my OS. I was running WA3 then too.

Were you using Winamp 2 previously? I sometimes get the exact same problem with Winamp 3. That's why I use Winamp 2.81. As for your volume question, I just updated the HLamp FAQs page to include your question. Basically you have to switch to DirectSound output in Winamp.
