What have we got here? Why, I do believe it's that old Stechkin model. Ain't it pretty?
So this is my first compile where I actually did important things like smoothing and bone assignments all on my own. Looks awwright to me. No smoothing errors or anything. World models are correctly mirrored. You get the choice of silenced or unsilenced. Basically, what more could you want? It's Flakk's excellent model presented in a way which I believe does it justice.
Earlier versions of this compile did a weird thing on one server where the slide would disappear. Why is beyond me. I imagine that this has been fixed by now, but if it's happens again, I know. I tried to fix it a million times. Fuck off unless you know why it happens.
Flakk - Everything related to the model
Jen - Anims
XLongWayHome, Zak Belika - Sounds
Markworth - Compile
Muzzle flash lighting effect cannot be removed from pistols. It's hardcoded. You cannot even edit the weapon script to remove it. There is no muzzle event defined in the QC for the silenced version, nor is there a muzzle flash attachment. The gun flashes anyways. Shut up and rate the fucking criteria.

I selected animations based on the size of the gun in the hands. As most animators (and Valve) seem to be under the impression that pistols are small (and they aren't), this was probably my best option at the time.
Btw, it is possible to remove the light emitter from the silenced version.
Go to your first attachement in your qc file and change the first set of coordinates to a really large number like 999 or something for all three. It will still show the muzzleflash, but it will be so far off the screen that nobody will see it.
edit, nevermind. didn't read your updated post :|
