I rendered and had all of the files ready for more colorful alts. Tried them in game and some of the textures seemed to get overwritten for all of the models. Turns out shared textures are a thing... One night of disappointment and removing "duplicate" files and here's a lighter version of what I wanted to originally post.
Someone find me when shared files in Ultimate aren't a problem anymore.

I wrote a bunch of scripts in Blender to make the process a lot less tedious. Things like mirroring and duplicating weights from left bones to the right. Never knew about pinning UVs until I worked on this.
Switch Toolbox used to replace textures, StudioSB for model testing, CrossModGui for materials. Wrote some small programs in GameMaker to do stuff like sort stuff in the .smd files after exporting from Blender.
Paint.net, Photoshop Elements 11, and Clip Studio Paint used for textures. The normal maps are collages of maps from other characters in Ultimate.
